Strengthening floating wind policy for COP30

Context

Over a six-month period, Magenta Renewables provided strategic advisory support to the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA), strengthening its international engagement, technical outputs, and policy positioning, with a focus on Chile, COP30, and floating offshore wind development.

Magenta approach

Magenta supported an in-country mission to Chile through targeted government and stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue, and market intelligence, reinforcing GOWA’s presence and long-term positioning in the region. The team also delivered technical oversight on floating wind workstreams, ensuring alignment with global best practices and enhancing the credibility of key deliverables.

In parallel, Magenta supported the Head of Secretariat with strategic technical briefings for COP30, the G7, and major industry events, and technical  oversight and review  for the GOWA white paper titled  “Establishing Floating Offshore Wind as a Mainstream Energy Solution”.

Outcomes

Through sustained strategic, technical, and policy advisory support, Magenta strengthened GOWA’s mission delivery, technical leadership, and global advocacy impact.
